Search engine optimization is all about making your websites rank #1 for the keywords you choose. The process becomes more and more difficult each year, however there are still some fundamentals which remain the same. In this article i will tell you what every seoer should know about this business.

First of all, there are two types of search engine optimization: on page seo and off page seo. Le me start from the first type. The most important thing is on page seo are:

• Title tag - make sure that your title tag contains the keyword you want to rank for.
• h1, h2 etc tags - make sure to palce your main keyword between these tags. of course it is not as effective as it used to be some time ago, but still it will make your website rank better.
• Bold, italic - personally, I do not do my text bold or make my keyword italic, but, many seoers still say that it is effective.
• Make sure that your article contains the keywords you want to rank for.
• ALT tags and image file names - make sure that image contains alt tag with your keyword. It is also recommended to rename your image so the file name fill be something like keyword.jpg.
